Beyonce’s Creative Director, Virgil Abloh Is Louis Vuitton’s New Men’s Wear Designer

The founder of haute streetwear label Off-White, Virgil Abloh is also a Chicago-based DJ, designer and architect, who has worked alongside Kanye West for 13 years. Other than Kanye West, he has also worked as the Creative Director for a leading pack of artists such as Rihanna, Drake, and Queen Bee Beyonce.

Last month, rumours surfaced about Virgil being appointed as the artistic director of the men’s wear line of Louis Vuitton. However, many had their doubts as they thought that Virgil’s style did not align with Louis Vuitton’s aesthetics. Virgil was also mentioned for possible top positions at Versace and Burberry.

The designer has been brought on board with the brand to make Louis Vuitton’s men’s wear line more relevant to the millennials, and make it edgier while still keeping the brand’s pristine history intact.

The 37-year-old designer will showcase his collection at Paris Fashion Week that will be held in June.

Well, looks like Louis Vuitton is finally getting with the times. What do you guys think of this collaboration? Let us know in the comments below.
