This Black Jumpsuit Is Going To Be Alisha’s Summer Staple

By  |

I’m usually the last one on the ‘trend’ boat and that strikes me as a bit strange, considering a lot of my job is keeping up with trends. So, usually the case is this: I know all about the trends, but I don’t necessarily follow any. For instance, I don’t own anything cold-shoulder or off shoulder, and that one lasted a while.

But for all of that, athleisure and, more specifically, joggers is something I quickly and quite uncharacteristically caught on to.

This happened because I chanced upon supermodel Surelee Joseph’s homegrown athleisure clothing brand — BandraRoad. I slipped into one pair of joggers and That. Was. It. Since I pretty much lived in sneakers at that point, the comfy pants, which could be styled in various ways, fit right into my daily closet. I was obsessed. And I started keeping tabs on the brand to see what else they would come up with.

Then recently, I noticed that they had tied up with Koovs and launched a brand new collection. This time, a mix of athleisure with a boho spin. Of all the creations on display, the one that I fell in love with right away was a jumpsuit.

One look at this black jumpsuit and I knew I had to have it. The draped, asymmetrical legs gave it an interesting shape and vibe, and it had pockets! What’s not to love, I ask you. The easy-breezy fit and the adjustable straps made it easy for me to move in. And the solid colour allowed for maximum freedom when it came to accessorising. Plus, the drapey fabric makes it look like a dress, but it’s easier to move in because they’re pants, making it quite literally the best of both worlds.
