All The Celebrity Looks From The Grand Ambani Engagement Bash

India lost one of its most eligible bachelors when the internet broke the news of Aakash Ambani proposing to his long-term girlfriend Shloka Metha, in Goa, back in March.

Wedding bells are ringing, as the festivities have now begun! After an intimate mehendi ceremony and a cosy pre-engagement bash, the richest and most powerful family of India hosted a magnificent engagement party. Industrialist, sportsmen, politicians and actors, everyone was present to bless the couple.

With choreographed dance performances, background dancers, live musicians, and decor that looked like the set of a big budget Bollywood movie, the engagement was a huge affair.

Needless to say, our Bollywood celebrities put their best foot forward when it came to style. Here is a look at who the attendees were, and what they wore for the engagement party! Keep scrolling…

Let’s start with the couple. Shloka picked a beautiful pink Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla lehenga, while Aakash was seen wearing a simple and structured maroon bandh gala style kurta.

Gauri Khan dazzled in a gold Tarun Tahiliani gown. She styled the look with Satyani Jewels and a Judith Leiber clutch. In case you mistook that to be Shah Rukh Khan next to Gauri, well take a better look, it is their son, Aaryan Khan! Aaryan looked dapper in a striking blue suit.

Gold seemed to be the theme of the night, as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan too was seen in a Manish Malhotra gold saree. Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan were seen dressed in Manish Malhotra as well.

Another gold look from the night was Alia Bhat, in an Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla lehenga.

Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff attended Akash and Shloka’s engagement ceremony together. While Disha picked a pink Falguni and Shane Peacock lehenga, the latter wore a zipped kurta with Jodhpuri pants.

Anil Kapoor looked handsome as always in a black achkan style kurta. He added a pop of colour with a checkered pocket square.

Mother-daughter duo, Shweta and Navya stuck to their go-to designers, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla for the engagement bash.

While Shweta’s ruffled saree looked pretty, her makeup was the problem in the look. Navya, on the other hand, looked pretty in her emerald green saree.

Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla were a favourite amongst the attendees at the event. Rhea Kapoor too picked an ensemble from the designer duo.

Kajol picked a chikankari suit by Anjul Bhandari. While the look fit her well, the pants were too striking for our liking.

One of our favourite looks from the night was Shraddha Kapoor’s lilac lehenga by Koëcsh. She styled the look with Amrapali Jewels.

While everyone else went the lehenga route, Parineeti Chopra wore a draped fusion sari by Shantanu and Nikhil. She styled the look with clear heels and tassel earrings.

Vidya picked an Anita Dongre saree for the occasion. She played up the pink in her blouse with a pink lipstick and pink bindi.

Kiran and Aamir kept it classic and simple at the event. Kiran wore a gold silk saree and Aamir wore a white, silk kurta-churidar with an embroidered jacket.

It came as no surprise that Sara Ali Khan wore an Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla lehenga for her the occasion. While she did look pretty, the cream, gold and orange combination, along with matching bangles just felt a little dated.

Rani Mukherjee picked a Sabyasachi lehenga. Another gold outfit right there.

Geeta Basra wore a dress by Iinara for the engagement. She rounded her look with jewellery from Jet Gems. Harbhajan Singh, on the other hand, looked dapper in his black achkan kurta.

Sagarika went with a sari by Jade. She rounded the look with some heavy-duty diamond jewellery and a Bottega Veneta clutch.

Zaheer Khan looked handsome in a pair of white jodhpuri pants and a navy jacket.

Kiara attended the engagement party in a signature Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga.

Natasha Poonawalla was seen wearing a white gold Shantanu and Nikhil lehenga.

Madhuri was seen in a floral sari by Shehlaa Khan and she paired it with kundan jewellery.

Another one of our favourite looks from the night is Mira Kapoor. She wore a Manish Malhotra outfit. Wearing her hair down, she completed the look with some subtle jewellery.

Shahid Kapoor skipped an Indian look, and went for a pair of tapered pants, styled with a waistcoat, jacket and a nude tee worn underneath. A pair of brown leather dress shoes rounded his look.

Rekha stuck to her signature style as she was photographed in a gold silk saree.

Sara Tendulkar looked pretty in a pink lehenga at the event.

Sticking to a classic desi look, Ranbir Kapoor looked handsome as always.

Sachin and Anjali Tendulkar, both stuck to hues of blue for the engagement bash.

The mother of the groom, Neeta Ambani too wore an Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla look for the event.
