India Couture Week ’17: Dia Mirza Plays The Perfect Radha In Anju Modi’s Latest!

Anju Modi showcased her couture collection yesterday at the India Couture Week, where the entire runway was reflective of the picturesque Vrindavan.

Sunehari Kothi took inspiration from a 350-year-old miniature art form that encapsulates Indian heritage. Using organic and handloom textiles, Anju Modi brought to life an era that is long gone, in a contemporary manner.

Draped in hues of whites, pinks, blues, and yellows, the collection was reflective of Radha-Krishna.

Silver brocades against the textiles of chanderi, velvet, pure silk, and organza, along with prints of cows, peacocks, deer, and beautiful Gopis, brought the Krishnagarh miniature art to life.

Keeping the entire theme in mind, Modi didn’t leave any stone unturned in her research for this collection.

Closing the show for her was Dia Mirza, who looked elegant and downright stunning in her very Radha-esque avatar. From her ensemble, to her makeup, to the maang tika, everything was timeless and breathtaking.

The Bajirao Mastaani designer seamlessly stitched Indian heritage into couture, making her collection one to remember!
