Here’s How You Can Recreate Sonakshi’s Subtle Shimmery Makeup Look
Are you a person who loves the artistic flare of wearing makeup, but doesn’t like to be too bold or out there with their choices? Then this gorgeous glow Sonakshi Sinha just pulled off on the latest cover of Elle India will leave you mesmerised.
Giving off that feminine and rather Parisian spring essence, Asli Sona lived up to her name and kept that subtle shimmer going. A rather delicate contrast to the more common smokey eyes and bold pout, the makeup for this cover-shoot is something any girl who likes things on the DL would love to wear.
Giving it an everyday makeup kind of touch, everything about her face is nude, bare, and neutral — with a touch of pearly shimmer and shine.
Perfect to take from AM to PM, there’s something about this minimalistic get up that is so soothing and pleasant, don’t you think? I mean, you can picture it worn with a flowy white maxi dress for the day AND a simple floral lehenga choli for the evening — it would work with anything!
Scroll down to see how you can also get this minimalistic approach, which you can pretty much wear for any event!
When doing your base with a semi-sheer coverage foundation, make sure your product seamlessly blends into your skin. A quick tip: add a little liquid illuminator to you foundation during application, just to kickstart that inner glow.
With a powder brush, take a highlighting powder, preferably something with a pearly finish rather than glittery. Add that on to your cheekbones and blend blend blend…till the product gives your cheekbones a natural pop.

As you can tell, her eyes also have a pearly finish to them, with a touch of bronze. After priming your lids, simply add a shimmery brownish nude eyeshadow in it, and blend it out completely. Taking a shadow pencil in a lighter shade, highlight the inner corner of your eyes and brow bone. Blend some more!
With the same highlighter you used on your base, dust a little onto the inner corner of your eyes to make them appear a little brighter. With a kajal pencil in brown, lightly outline your upper lash line and amp up your lashes with mascara.
Fill in your brows with a gel and there you go! It looks absolutely perfect.
Keep your lips neutral and wear a lip colour that is nude with a touch of pink — just to add that hint of rose to it. Purse and pout!
