Soft, Romantic Hair And Gold-Rimmed Eyes Rocked Day 2
Day 2 of AIFW 2016 opened with designers Pratima Pandey, Rasa Jaipur and Tanvi Kedia, and gave us a lot of beauty and hair looks to drool over. We must say Maybelline India and make-up artist Elton J Fernandez are really outdoing themselves each day.
Models’ hair for the three consecutive shows were done up in up-dos that spelled sheer romance. They were curled and then tied into multiple intricate braids and twists that went all around the crown and hairline. These were then knotted at the nape in a soft up-do. The result was a wholesome look that almost had the effect of halos around the models’ heads.
If you want to try a similar style, you might want to curl your hair before trying it. Make a deep side-part and start twisting hair until you reach the nape of your neck. Repeat twists on the other side as well. Pin up both twisted sides at the nape in a messy up-do with some bobby pins.
If I hadn’t been so taken in by the hair, I would have probably told you that it was the eyes that were the standout looks from the shows. I LOVE LOVE LOVED the intensely pigmented, neon yellow shadow topped with gold near the lashline and tear ducts. White eyeliner on the lower waterline made eyes pop with even more drama, while the generous lashing of mascara helped open them. Strong, filled-in brows framed the eyes beautifully.
