Bushra’s Clarifying Shampoo DOES NOT Dry Her Hair

By  |

Whether you style your hair regularly or not, sweaty season calls for some intense cleansing. Product build-up clogging up hair follicles and leading to painful boils and hair loss is real, folks. While it’s pointless to try styling in this heat (the humidity is going to make you look like Lion King in no time), we try valiantly (and sometimes unsuccessfully) to tame our mane. All the styling products coupled with sweat is  a disaster waiting to happen.

Since I have an oily scalp and dry ends, finding a clarifying shampoo that doesn’t dry my hair leaving it a frizzy mess is a challenge. But what do I say? I lurrrve challenges! So the memo was to find a shampoo that thoroughly cleanses my scalp without stripping it dry. Nobody’s got time for dandruff, right? Also, clarifying shampoos generally leave hair looking dry and lackluster, which is something I can’t afford with my chemically-processed hair. I want shiny, silky locks a la Goldilocks!

Moroccanoil Clarifying Shampoo

Now anyone who’s used the cult favourite Moroccanoil will remember it for its soft, soothing, warm Mediterranean smell. The Clarifying Shampoo from Moroccanoil smells as divine. And that is a clincher for me because I prefer to let my nose decide my hair products for me. Besides its lovely smell, it effectively cleans your scalp of all the gunk and residue of styling products. It helps restore moisture balance and leaves the hair feeling soft to the touch. Since it has essential oils, it makes your hair shiny and is perfectly safe to use on chemically-treated hair.

It might be on the pricier side but using this once in a fortnight means a little goes a long way.
