The Eyeshadow Palette That Zahra’s Been Using Every day

The Eyeshadow Palette That Zahra’s Been Using Every day

If like me you’re more about skincare than makeup, you probably have a few go-to products that are a constant part of your basic beauty arsenal. The usual suspects include a good foundation and concealer, finishing powder, a blush, and lipstick. Add an eyeliner and mascara for an evening look and you’re usually done. However, if you’re looking to up your beauty game, you might want to consider investing in an eyeshadow palette that’s seriously versatile, and allows you to create multiple looks from one pretty little package.

And the one palette I’m absolutely loving right now is Maybelline’s The Blushed Nudes. I’m not terribly great at doing eye makeup, so I find natural colour tones easier to work with. What’s more, I really do love this kind of colour palette in general, so that’s a big plus. If you like an assortment of shimmery shadows too, then you’re going to love this one. The palette consists of 12 shades that work really well for everyday wear, but you can also pull off a good smokey eye with it. They’re easy to pick up with a brush and blend well too.

(P.S. Has anyone else noticed how similar it looks to Urban Decay’s Naked 3?)

Now comes the not-so-great part. While the colours are lovely, I’m not entirely blown away by the palette. The colours aren’t very pigmented, so an eyeshadow primer is pretty much a necessity with this one. However, once you’ve got the primer on, they go on smoothly and blend well too. Some of the powders do have a slight graininess/chalkiness, but you’ll probably be willing to forgive that given the affordable price tag. Overall, I think this is a great eyeshadow palette for beginners and is also super easy on the budget.
