The Coral Lipstick Bushra Wants To Wear All Summer
As a child, I was so envious of my mum. She could have an entire meal and her lipstick wouldn’t budge or fade; those were the days of creamy formulas. And there I was, struggling to keep my lipstick on for more than half an hour. It was a miracle if it didn’t leave that dreaded lipstick ring behind. But the thing that was most mortifying was my lipstick bleeding and staining the skin all around my mouth. The struggles of an adolescent blessed with supremely oily skin — that was my life. Those were dark days, people!
After said debacles, I steered clear of lipsticks altogether. I resigned myself to the fact that lipstick and I weren’t made for each other. The fault was in our stars. Until a former colleague coerced me into trying 421 by Inglot. I almost squealed in delight when this baby didn’t move even after 6 hours. I could’ve jumped in the air and clicked my heels with joy. At the risk of sounding dramatic, there has been no looking back ever since. Needless to say, I have a matte lipstick in every shade that I love. But one that’s been missing for a while has been a nice bright coral.
Maybelline New York Color Sensational Vivid Matte Lipstick in Vivid 4
Coral became a HUGE thing in the world of style and beauty only in 2011. I wonder how people lived without coral lipstick before that. I mean it is such an uplifting colour, so flattering, so summery. And the Vivid 4 shade from Maybelline’s new Color Sensational Vivid Matte Lipsticks range is the stuff coral dreams are made of. Vivid 4 is a rosy orange colour, which means it is a pink-based orange. This bright matte lipstick has a remarkable colour payoff and moisturising texture since it is enriched with nourishing honey nectar. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one!
