These Malaika Arora-Approved Lip Colours Are PERFECT For Summer!
It’s no secret that Malaika Arora is always impeccably turned out. That she lists high in the style stakes is old news, but her beauty game deserves a special mention too. I am not exaggerating when I say that the gorgeous diva’s hair and makeup are always top-notch. We recently spotted Malaika in three really pretty makeup looks that had summer written all over them. While it looks like she’s wearing eye make-up that is more or less the same in all three looks — save for the addition of black eyeliner in one — I love how she has switched up the lip colours to get an entirely new look each time.
Want to cop her looks? Follow our instructions below:
Prep: No matter how hot or humid it is, always start with a hydrating moisturiser. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream is brilliant in the heat. Let your skin soak in the moisturiser for a few minutes, then apply a primer like Revlon Photo Ready Perfecting Primer to help keep your make-up in place. You don’t want sweat to ruin all your hard work, do you?
Base: Apply Faces Oil-Free Foundation with a light hand. Then use Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush in Peachy Sweetie only on the apples of your cheeks. Finish with a light dusting of Inglot Loose Powder on the T-zone.
Eyes: Every girl should own a neutral eyeshadow palette — it’s makeup 101. Plus, the number of looks you can achieve with a single eyeshadow palette is unbelievable. Maybelline New York The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette works really well for this. Select a shimmery taupe colour for a solid wash over the entire eyelid. Then use a deeper brown on the outer corner and crease. Use the same brown eyeshadow on the lower lashline as well. Blend it out with your fingers for a soft, smoky effect. Line both the upper and lower waterline with Plum Natur Studio All-Day-Wear Kohl. You can also line your eyes, but I think it’s better to do away with eyeliner in summer. If you simply can’t do without black eyeliner, try drawing a neat winged tip with Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner.
Lips: When wearing bold, bright lip colours, exfoliating is essential. Use Forest Essentials Cane Sugar Lip Scrub and moisturise with Kama Almond And Coconut Lip Balm. Let your lips soak in the balm for a few minutes and wipe off the excess. Prime your lips with E.L.F. Cosmetics Lip Primer. Using a primer will help your lipstick stay intact longer without bleeding.
