Farozan’s Favourite Eye Makeup Remover Is SO Amazing!

Farozan’s Favourite Eye Makeup Remover Is SO Amazing!

It’s time for a confession: I wasn’t always obsessed with beauty, let alone interested in it. Until the age of 15, the height of my beauty regime was a daily shower and hair wash (I often skipped conditioner out of sheer laziness), Vaseline on my lips, and kajal (when I was allowed to wear it). Forget basic, my regime was borderline lazy. With college and a bit more freedom, I started discovering the joys of wearing kajal every day, which I never removed at night OBVZ.

Turns out, my definition of grungy, two-day-old makeup didn’t sit well with my mum and sister. This turn of events led to me sitting through some very tedious lectures about skincare. I’ll save you the details, but my days of panda eyes were firmly behind me with a swipe of baby oil on a cotton pad every night. This continued for a few years, where I begrudgingly wiped off my kajal wondering why I was breaking out around my eyes and cheeks every now and then.

I eventually switched up my whole regime when my older sister forced me to try her L’Oréal Dermo Expertise Makeup Remover. It worked fine for a while, but it made my eyes sting. It also required a thorough scrubbing. I quickly finished the bottle and embarked on the search for the perfect makeup remover. After a few years, I can now claim that Lancôme’s Bi-Facil is THE bomb!

Lancôme Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover (Rs 2,800)

This fantastic, two-phase product from the French skincare brand wipes away all traces of eye makeup — waterproof or otherwise — with one gentle swipe. You simply shake the bottle well to mix the oily part with the water base, then dab some onto a cotton swab. A little goes a long way, so you don’t need a lot of the product to completely cleanse off mascara, liner, and what not.

It may sound like an exaggeration, but I can *totally* feel my non-existent crow’s feet thanking me every time I use it. Best part? it won’t leave behind an oily film like baby oil, which eliminates breakouts. And the product doesn’t sting my eyes either. It also works for those who wear contact lenses and have sensitive eyes, as it’s been ophthalmologist tested for safety.

Although it’s priced a bit on the steeper side, I think it’s a fantastic buy. Try it once, it’ll ruin you for all the other cleansers in the market.
