#HauteHack: Cover Dark Circles With Orange Lipstick!
Remember how I recently told you to use colour correcting concealers to cover dark circles? Using only concealer on your dark circles and scars will not be half as effective in masking them as a colour correcting one. These concealers cancel the dark tones by neutralising their colour (take that all those non-believers in make-up being an art form!).
If you haven’t bought a colour-correcting concealer yet but have an important event to go to and you need to look flawless, try using a matte orange lipstick as a colour-corrector. Yes, you read that right. I said use an orange lipstick. For those of you not in the know, the colour orange works well as a colour-corrector to neutralise blueish under-eye circles and works especially well on dark skin tones.
Here’s how to use your matte orange lipstick as a concealer: Pick a little orange lipstick on your flat concealer brush and blend it into your under-eye area. This will help to cancel out the darkness. You can then use a light dab of regular brightening concealer that matches your skin tone. Finally, use a Beauty Blender or any good quality cosmetic sponge to blend everything into a flawless finish. Trust me: this works!
