Everything You Need To Know About The Holographic Makeup Trend
Is it just me, or does everyone suddenly want to look like Katy Perry à la E.T.? So they might want to look like aliens, but I can tell you one thing, it sure as hell looks good!
Adding that iridescent glow to your face instantly makes you look like you’re from out of this world, and when it comes to beauty, ethereal really is the way to go.
A whole bunch of beauty brands have hopped on to this holographic makeup trend lately. What the products do is look translucent, but they change colour in different lighting. Kind of like those holographic nails we were all obsessed with last year, but much milder.
Here are some of the brands giving it a shot, and they cover pretty much everything — from the cheeks and eyes to the lips, as well.
Milk Makeup Holographic Stick
A universal stick that does everything, from giving you E.T.-approved cheekbones to holographic eyes, and even a shine on your lips, if you fancy it.
Make Up For Ever Star Powder
Like the name suggests, this one is a powdery pigment you can use anywhere on your face. They come in a lot of colours, but the ones you’re looking for is a white/mauve or a white/turquoise.

As far as the holographic trend goes, this palette is the Holy Grail. Replete with the perfect ethereal shades, if looking mystical was what you wanted, it’s what you’d get with this baby.
Sigma Beauty Lip Switch
This is the brand that ignited this holographic craze in everyone. Sigma’s Lip Switches were all over the place when they first launched and, by the looks of it, they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. It’s currently sold out everywhere, but you could totally add it to your shopping cart, and wait!

P.S. if you don’t want to buy any of these, how about doing a quick DIY? It’s more on the unicorn side — not extra terrestrial, but mythical for sure!
