By  |

There’s never a dull day in Beautyville. There are tons of products hitting the shopping aisles Every. Single. Day. Products that promise nothing but the best, begging you to upgrade your beauty game.

While a true-blue beauty junkie will swear that it takes nerves of steel to not wilfully go bankrupt, one has to ask the pertinent question: are these products worth the hype? That’s where we come in.

In our monthly Best of Beauty series, we go through the process of rounding up some of the best new releases in skincare, haircare, makeup, the works. We sift through the gimmicks and tall claims, and present to you products that definitely live up to the hype.

1. Glamglow SuperMud (Rs 4,400)*

If you’re looking for absolute indulgence for your skin, then GlamGlow has just what you need. The SuperMud is probably their most raved about product and here’s why — its clearing formula calms down skin that’s blemished, or oily and sucks out the extra sebum present.

You can literally see a difference in the way the skin feels after just one use.

2. MAC Rollerwheel Eyeliner (Rs 2,090)

The rollerwheel is the coolest thing that MAC could’ve come up with. This contraption basically acts like a tiny pizza wheel, allowing you to finely apply your liner in one go. So if you really want that fine and perfect wing, this device will help you get it!

Ah, MAC never ceases to amuse with their inventions!

3. Innisfree Black Green Tea Serum (Rs 3,000)*

This formula has a nourishing and moisturising effect thanks to the Jeju green tea squeeze that is obtained during the fermentation process. This fermentation basically boosts antioxidants and helps in hydrating the skin.

The Black Green Tea serum also has a new essence formula, that locks in all the benefits of the antioxidants into the skin.

*Available at Innisfree stores in India

4. Avene Physiolift Eye Serum (Rs 3,100)*

The Avene Physiolift Eye Serum acts like a smoothing agent for the fine lines and puffiness around the eyes. Thanks to the Dextran Sulfate present, the formula basically ensures that eye bags and dark circles are visibly reduced.

The Thermal Spring Water that the beauty brand is famous for, is also infused in the formula — it soothes the skin while the other fancy ingredients work their magic!
