#HauteList: The Best Beauty Launches Of March 2017

There’s never a dull day in Beautyville. There are tons of products hitting the shopping aisles Every. Single. Day. Products that promise nothing but the best, begging you to upgrade your beauty game. While a true-blue beauty junkie will swear that it takes nerves of steel to not wilfully go bankrupt, one has to ask the pertinent question: are these products worth the hype? That’s where we come in. In our monthly Best of Beauty series, we go through the process of rounding up some of the best new releases in skincare, haircare, makeup, the works. We sift through the gimmicks and tall claims, and present to you products that definitely live up to the hype.

1. Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lipsticks (Rs 2,600)

This new lip launch by Bobbi Brown is a liquid lipstick in the form of a juicy tube pen. So basically, it’s a liquid lipstick in a squeezy pack! The formula is extremely pigmented and comes with semi-matte finish that is creamy, and it’s pretty light on the lips. All you need to do is squeeze a little product on the lips, smack and smear away. The Art Stick Liquid Lip glides on like butter and comes in 17 shades ranging from nudes, to pops, to even bold hues. With a long-lasting colour payoff, this product is ideal for the woman on-the-go!

2. Ponds Pure White Deep Anti Pollution Face Wash (Rs 195)

Out and about? Ponds’ new facewash will be your bff on those polluted days out, as it contains activated charcoal which cleanses skin to the t. Perfect for oily skin, just a pea-size amount leaves your skin feeling refreshed, and pollution and grime free. Plus, it’s pretty reasonable for something that does so much, isn’t it?

3. theBalm Nude’tude Eyeshadow Palette (Rs 2,599)

theBalm has finally launched on Nykaa and we couldn’t be more excited. The makeup brand has been raved on about by YouTubers and seems to hold a special place in their hearts. This eyeshadow palette is one of their bestsellers and consists of 12 beautiful shades of various nudes. With a satin texture, the formula allows you to go simple and subtle, as well as layered and bold…like a boss. The only issue we’d probably have with the product, is its packaging names, which are rather stereotypical and objectifying. But hey, if you can look past that, then the product in itself is worth the price (in the world of eyeshadow palettes, of course!).

4. M.A.C Makeup Art Cosmetics Jumbo Penultimate Eye Liner / James Kaliardos (Rs 1,900)

When you see this pen, you think…woah, that’s a massive one. A jumbo twin of  MAC’s iconic Penultimate Eye Liner, this felt-like liner will give you that sexy, bold cat-eye you have been looking to achieve. Gliding on in one go, create masterstrokes with this jumbo pen and make a statement with that 12-hour-lasting bold eye.

5. Louboutin Lex Yeux Noirs Mascara (Rs 5,000 approx)*

What happens when an artistic genius meets makeup — you get a masterpiece in hand. Louboutin’s all-new eye makeup range is to die for! Like seriously. This mascara will create that drama your lashes require by amping up the volume, boosting definition, curling, and lengthening those lashes. And look at that flawless packaging! It isn’t available in India YET, but if you’re going abroad…you must really get your hands on it.

*Available internationally.

6. Lancôme UV Expert Spot Eraser (Rs 6,000)*

Lancôme’s all new UV Expert Spot Eraser is one that dissolves dark spots with its unique M.E.L. mechanism. The powerful formula is enriched with an anti-oxidising element that helps with inflammation and decreases the production of melanin. So basically its main aim is to target and kick some dark-spot butt, while continuing to prevent and control melanin.

*Available at Lancôme counters across in India.

7. TRESemme Botanique Shampoo (Rs 150 for 190ml)

This all-new Botanique range is different from TRESemme’s other hair products and is made with a botanical mix of olive and camelia oil. Perfect for a frizz-free mane, the formula is parabens- and dye-free, and leaves your hair feeling soft and nourished. Pair it with the conditioner and you’ve got yourself an all-new haircare routine to try!
