5 Hairstyles That Won’t Get Ruined In The Rain

5 Hairstyles That Won’t Get Ruined In The Rain

You deserve an award if you can keep your hair in check during the monsoons. Sure, the weather pretty much sucks all year round when it comes to your hair, but it’s exceptionally horrible starting June. The frizz increases, your hair looks bigger (in a bad way) than normal, and that bouncy-ness you worked on with your blow dryer, yep, all gone.

While a lot of people think hairspray helps to keep everything in place during this season, it actually doesn’t do much. Your hair will look great for a few minutes, but the second you step outside that safe air-conditioning zone, it’s back to flat city.

But ladies, there’s hope. The best way to fight the havoc the rain causes is to try a few styles that don’t need any sprays, extra bounce, or even any heat.

1. Bust out your headbands

Who cares if your hair is frizzy? Just add a headband. If you can’t see that frizz, it doesn’t exist!

2. Keep it all out of the way

A top knot is possibly the easiest, most efficient style to try during the rain. Your hair is out of the way, tied up neatly, and you can’t even tell if it’s been hit by humidity.

3. Bunned and braided

The parties don’t stop while it’s raining outside. Your blowout, however, won’t make it past the car. How about trying one of these side buns instead? Add a braid to take it up a notch.

4. Update your braids

Sure everyone has been doing those dutch braids ever since the Kardashian sisters started the trend, but the upgrade is definitely a keeper and a winner!

5. Double up the buns

One bun is great, but two are so much better! My rained out hair is a force to reckon with, and this is one style that takes me through pretty much anything — hail, rain, or sunshine!
