Deepika’s Floral Updo Is Just The Thing For February
There’s no denying that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have emerged as a power couple this year. From giving some of her best performances to acing some terrific looks in both the style and beauty department, Deepika is relentlessly slaying us with beauty goals. Last night at the NDTV Indian of the Year event was no different. Deepika paired her classic ivory embroidered saree by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla with her signature bold brows and a bright red pout. Her glossy balayaged mane was parted in a sleek centre part and pulled back into a neat twisted updo. But what had us were the pretty adornments in the form of red roses a la the ornate head pieces at Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring Summer 2015 show. Take a look:
Want to cop her look? Here’s what you’ve got to do:
Protect: Mist a heat protectant like TRESemme Heat Tamer Protective Spray all over your hair to protect them from damage caused by heat styling.
Straighten: Take one inch sections of hair and flat iron them using Remington S2002 Hair Straightener. Taking large chunks of hair will not serve any purpose. You will not get through the straightening process any faster, but you’ll definitely end up frying your hair. So avoid taking the easy way out and go through this systematically.
Shine: Healthy hair imparts megawatt shine, but for the rest of us unfortunate souls there’s Tigi Bed Head Massive Shine Spray. Add some high intensity gloss to your locks with this product.
Part and Twist: Use a tail comb to create a sharp, straight centre part. Brush back all the hair neatly and hold it a little above the nape of the neck. Twist it right to the ends and lay it flat on your head. Secure it in place with the aid of either bobby pins or U-pins.
Spray: Set everything in place with a mist of L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hair Spray.
Adorn: Pin a couple of roses around the twisted updo. If you are using big roses, make sure that the rest of your styling is subtle and understated.
