The Cushion Foundation That’s Got Tatiana Feeling Flawless

Okay, so for one, I am very picky with my foundation. When you have a dusky olive complexion and an oily skin tone like mine, getting a product that matches it to a T is extremely difficult. It’s usually either too ashy or makes me look like I fell into a sack of flour, or even worse…a grease-ball. Therefore, there’s a whole checklist that I have to go through before I commit to a foundation — I mean, if the base ain’t right…why even bother? However, Lancôme’s Miracle Cushion Foundation sort of checked all those requirement boxes. To be honest, I was quite skeptical initially. To me, it was just another base that I knew would probably make me look cakey — but I stand corrected. The colour is a perfect fit, the texture of the foundation is very light and airy, and, best of all, the whole cushion concept makes me love it even more.

Post priming and dusting my face with a little setting powder (a hack that should be done by everyone with oily skin — tried, tested, and approved), I use my beauty blender to dab into the cushion and gently tap it onto my skin. Since puberty wasn’t very kind with me and left me with a couple of battle scars, I feel like the blender, along with the foundation, covers them to quite an extent. The Lancôme cushion creates this appearance of a clean, smooth facial texture, whilst providing a fresh, luminous look. It doesn’t look like I am wearing makeup at all! I know makeup has been pulling a fast one on people for years, but it’s the first time I have experienced it. Leaving my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated, I think Lancôme has got the formula right for me, this time.
