The Chubby Sticks You NEED To Contour Like A Pro!
I’m all for adding some dimension to my face as opposed to creating killer cheekbones or a jawline that does not exist. Which is why I have a love-hate relationship with contouring. I like the fact that it can create some depth in one’s look, but I hate how it’s taken over the beauty world with all that exaggerated sculpting. It’s an established fact by now what a bitch contouring can be. Apply one stroke too many (or get a little heavy-handed) and you run the risk of looking like an Instagram no-no. So while I like the idea of strobing, it’s a little meh when it comes to adding some definition to my face. Which is why I’m kicked about Clinique’s new releases: the Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour and the Chubby Stick Highlight crayons.
Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour & Highlight pens
These coloured crayons help in bringing out cheekbones you were born with. Their USP is that they’re very easy to use. All you have to do is swipe the darker shade under your cheekbones and the lighter shade just above and buff it into your skin with your fingers. Yep, that’s right: these Chubby Stick cut out the need to use fancy brushes, which — let’s admit — require a certain level of mastery. The products blend really well thanks to the warmth in your fingers and deliver convincing results by creating depth and definition. If you’re a beginner to the contouring trend, these are the perfect products to experiment with. They blend out to a nice tone and do not have any sparkles. The finished effect is a subtle, light contour that’s perfect for novices.
The Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight with its pearlised, light-reflecting pigments adds a luminous sheen that’s perfect for that dewy glow everyone is coveting these days. What I’m especially digging is the ease with which you can use these products. This one’s for all the Ms Butterfingers out there!
