Dry Skin? These 5 Hacks Will Change You’re Makeup Game Forever

By  |

We’ve got oily skin covered, but as we go into the cooler months, what about makeup for those of us with dry skin?

Dry skin can ruin a makeup look even before application. And trust me, nobody likes flaky-looking skin. So, here are 5 hacks you should try if dry skin is getting in the way of flawless makeup application.

Inatur Charcoal Face Scrub (Rs 450)

1. Exfoliate

Seriously, the secret is in the skincare. You wanna make sure you use an effective, but gentle scrub on your face before you prep for a big day or night out. Use circular motions and spend a couple of minutes working the scrub in and getting read of dead skin.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil – Face (Rs 525)

2. Use A Face Oil

Switch in your moisturiser for a non-oily, but nourishing and hydrating face oil. They’re all the rage these days, because a few drops can truly create a perfect base.

Milani Prime Perfection Face Primer – Translucent (Rs 1,250)

3. Hydrating Primer

Your regular primer won’t do the trick for super dry skin. Go for a hydrating primer that will not only bind your makeup to your skin, but keep it hydrated all day long.

L.A Girl Pro Coverage Illuminating Liquid Foundation (Rs 1,250)

4. Illuminating Foundation

A matte foundation would be a big no-no. While you want to use an illuminating, hydrating foundation, don’t skip out on the translucent powder step. You know, just in case your makeup doesn’t sit well or set in, you’ll need the translucent powder to hold it.

Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Illuminating Fixing Spray (Rs 1,050)

5. Face Mist

Use a hydrating face mist and setting spray to seal in your makeup. Make sure it works as both, a hydrating mix and a fixing spray. Also, you don’t want to use a spray with a matte finish.
